2. Contact Congress on September 19th!
It literally takes less than a minute to send a message to your members of Congress asking them to fully fund Title IV, Part A of ESSA for FY20 using SHAPE America’s Legislative Action Center. But KY SHAPE encourages members to custom the letter adn personalize it to your school and community. If you believe that health education and physical education make a difference, then tell that story!
3. Encourage Others to Participate
Advocating for healthier students is not just for health and physical education teachers, it is for everyone. Use the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model to develop a list of colleagues along with friends and family, then ask them to take a minute out of their day to help support our cause!
