⏰ Last Day to Register for the 2026 Kentucky SHAPE Summer Conference! ⏰ https://kyshape.org/2026-conference/ Friends, Today is the final day to register for the 2026 Kentucky SHAPE Summer Conference, and I wanted to personally invite you to join us next week in Lexington. As Executive Director, this is one of my favorite weeks of the year. While this is Kentucky’s conference, there is a reason it has become nationally known. We have built a reputation for bringing together one of the strongest lineups of speakers, presenters, and professional learning opportunities anywhere in the health and physical education profession. We pair that with an affordable registration cost and the kind of hospitality Kentucky is known for. People travel from across Kentucky and from around the country because this conference is more than professional development. It is an opportunity to reconnect, recharge, gather new ideas, and prepare for the upcoming school year alongside some of the very best educators in our field. I am incredibly proud of the work our Board of Directors has done to create one of the premier professional learning experiences in health and physical education. Our President, Angela Stark, has provided outstanding leadership this year, and her conference theme, Teach with Intention. Lead with Impact., perfectly captures the focus and purpose of our time together. We have an outstanding two-and-a-half days planned. (Full agenda here: https://kyshape.org/2026-agenda/)I am especially excited to welcome our keynote speaker, Kelly Zerby. Kelly has probably attended more Kentucky conferences than many health and physical education teachers in our state, and I know she will deliver an inspiring message as we kick off the conference on Thursday. We will also have the honor of welcoming Dr. Lonnie Davis’s family as we present him with the Mary Ann Miller Thrive Award. Dr. Davis dedicated so much of his life to our profession, and this will be a meaningful celebration of his legacy. We are also grateful that Governor Andy Beshear will once again join us as part of this special recognition. If you are already registered, please be sure to check your email. Important information has been sent regarding: • Access to the conference app One final favor before we gather in Lexington next week. Please help us spread the word on social media. Follow the conversation and share your excitement using #KYSHAPE26. We intentionally bring this conference to your backyard each year so Kentucky educators can experience nationally recognized professional learning without having to travel across the country. The best way to continue growing this event is through the voices of those who believe in it. Share a post. Send a text. Forward this email. Personally invite someone to attend! Let’s make this our biggest and most impactful conference yet. I look forward to welcoming you to Lexington next week. See you soon, Jamie Sparks #KYSHAPE26 |
