Kentucky SHAPE Board Approves Updated SHAPE America State Affiliate Agreement The Kentucky SHAPE Board of Directors, led by President Angela Stark, voted late last week to approve the updated SHAPE America State Affiliate Agreement, reaffirming Kentucky SHAPE’s role as an independent state affiliate of SHAPE America. SHAPE America — the Society of Health and Physical Educators — serves as the national professional organization and leading voice for health and physical educators across the country. Through advocacy, professional development, research, and national initiatives, SHAPE America continues to advance quality health and physical education for all students. Key initiatives led by SHAPE America include the recent update of the National Health and Physical Education Standards, the nationally recognized Teacher of the Year program, and the ongoing work of the SHAPE America Districts, including the Southern District of which Kentucky SHAPE is a member. Kentucky SHAPE is excited to continue this important partnership and collaborate with colleagues across the nation to support educators, strengthen advocacy efforts, and advance best practices in health and physical education.
