The Kentucky SHAPE Board of Directors is excited to announce that the annual meeting of the association will take place Sunday November 13th in Berea, KY at the historic Boone Tavern. The meeting is tentatively scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM with annual awards and KYSHAPE Teacher of the Year announcements also a part of the agenda. Nominations are officially open for 2023 Teachers of the Year, KYSHAPE Awards and nominations for the board of directors, see information and links below. A pre-conference workshop will also take place on Sunday with up to 3 hours of professional development. Monday’s agenda will however focus entirely on future professionals and higher education in Kentucky. (Please note this shift in the traditional fall event schedule as previously announced with the emphasis on summer teachers conferences that were hosted in 2021 and 2022)
SHAPE America’s health.moves.minds. theme for the 2022-2023 school year will be “Amplify Kindness”. Kentucky SHAPE looks forward to again leading the nation with this free SEL based health and physical education resource including the 3rd annual #KindnessAcrosstheCommonwealth in November!
