A team edventure bringing strategy, technology and fun into a wellness promoting kickoff event for the KYSHAPE Summer Conference on July 19-20th. All attendees of the KYSHAPE Move, Thrive Summer Conference are invited to participate. Teams of up to 5 working collaboratively to solve clues on the “FitSupts Edventure Passport” completing health.moves.minds related challenges at undisclosed locations in Downtown Louisville. It could be a 3K event, it could be 5K event….the distance depends on your team accurately solving the passport clues! Extra incentive for Kentucky schools. Soon to be announced BIG CASH PRIZES for teams that complete passport with their superintendent or assistant superintendent. **You don’t have to be the fastest team, you just have to complete the #FitSupts passport with at least one district leader. Prizes will be awarded on Monday following the keynote of 2020 Superintendent of the Year Dr. Brian Creasman. |

Monday Keynote – 2020 KY Superintendent of the Year

Dr. Brian Creasman was Kentucky’s 2020 Superintendent of the Year. He chose health and wellness as his priority platform for his year as Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Creasman was with Kentucky SHAPE leaders in Washington, D.C. attending the SHAPE America Speak Out Day in March 2020 as the COVID19 pandemic school shutdowns began across the country. His message and challenge of “Why Educational Leaders Must Inspire a Culture of Health and Well-Being in Schools” became even more critical this past year as America confronted a global pandemic. |

Tuesday Keynote – SHAPE America COVID-19 Project Director

Sean Nevills began work with SHAPE America in August 2020 as the director of the COVID-19 project, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Before this role, Nevills served as director of health and physical education with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. During his tenure at SHAPE America, Nevills has been an integral part of SHAPE America’s leadership for COVID-19 resources, advancement of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and additionally as been the host of the SHAPE America Podcast. |
