Title IV, Part A Allocation and Application Information
The Title IV, Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant FY18 allocations are now available for districts to view. The grant focuses on three content areas: Well-Rounded Education, Safe and Healthy Students, and Effective Use of Technology. Districts that receive Title I funds will be eligible to receive Title IV, Part A funds. The funding is formula-based and any district receiving Title I funds will receive at least $10,000 in Title IV, Part A funds. Districts that receive $30,000 or more in allocations are required to complete a Comprehensive Needs Assessment and must spend at least 20% on well-rounded education and at least 20% on safe and healthy students. Webinars explaining more about Title IV, Part A and the application process are available on the KDE Media Portal.
The Title IV, Part A application is part of the consolidated application. The district’s Consolidated Director will need to log into GMAPs and complete the Intent to Participate on the Funding Application page and have it approved by both the district Finance Officer and Superintendent by February 1.
A step-by-step webinar for the Intent to Participate page is available on the KDE media portal. Please review the Federal Non-Regulatory Guidance for more information on Title IV, Part A and visit the Title IV, Part A webpage on the KDE website for additional information.
